Serving others is at the core of our mission and values

Service-oriented Culture

From serving our patients to supporting our communities, service is at the heart of our SCA Health culture. In support of national and local charitable organizations, SCA Health incorporates a community service event into every SCA Health meeting and hosts ongoing philanthropic activities.

Grounded in Giving Back

From large enterprise activities to grassroots volunteer efforts by our more than 320+ facilities, SCA Health hosts hundreds of volunteer events each year to provide local support to the communities we serve across the country. We are grounded in giving back—throughout the enterprise, throughout the country, throughout the year.

One World Surgery

SCA Health is proud to be a foundational corporate partner to the nonprofit One World Surgery. The mission of One World Surgery is to ignite the spirit of service and transform lives by providing access to high-quality surgical care globally. SCA Health teammates, physician partners and their families are invited to ignite the spirit of service and participate in one of One World Surgery’s medical mission trips to Honduras or the Dominican Republic.

SCA Health Teammate Support Network

The SCA Health Teammate Support Network(TSN) ) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded to support SCA teammates in times of financial need due to hardship, tragedy, or natural disaster. Each year, SCA Health teammates are supported through charitable grants from TSN. Most recently, SCA Health teammates raised more than $270,000 through the TSN to support colleagues who faced financial hardship in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Values Hero and teammate for 20 years was diagnosed with lung cancer that metastasized to her brain. The teammate has since passed way and the TSN matched funds raised by the center to help her family cover unexpected costs.

A teammate’s home caught fire and they lost almost everything to smoke, fire and water damage. The TSN matched center funds to provide this teammate with assistance in refurnishing their home.

A grant was awarded to a teammate and her family who participated in cooking and serving meals each month to 1,300 homeless people. The grant enabled them to repair a dishwasher, purchase a commercial oven, and replace worn out pots, pans, and utensils.
