Vagus nerve implant helps patient recover after strokes

Schalia suffered back‑to‑back, life‑altering strokes that left the right side of her body partially paralyzed. Following a vagus nerve implant procedure performed at our Stonebridge Surgery Center, she has regained movement on her right side.

As a result, Schalia was able to return to work, care for her young niece, and resume traveling with her fiancé.
